AT&T Park

A Luxury Hotel Near AT&T Park

San Francisco's AT&T Park (formerly SBC Park) home to Giants baseball and stunning views in and out of the park, is an easy walk that takes just minutes from the Harbor Court Hotel. Columnist Peter Gammons wrote, "It's hard to say what's best about AT&T Park, except that it is San Francisco." Situated along the waterfront and anchoring the south end of San Francisco's SOMA district, there's really not a bad seat to be had—even AT&T Park's so-called worst seats feature a view of the Bay Bridge and the nearby marina.

Ready for Opening Day in April 2000, AT&T Park, with a capacity of 41,503, welcomed fans into the first privately financed ballpark in the major leagues since 1962 (Dodger Stadium). From the nine-foot bronze statue of Hall of Famer Willie Mays at the entrance of the red brick stadium to McCovey Cove beyond right field (where the kayakers battle to retrieve home runs hit over the wall) to the 80-foot Coca-Cola bottle with playground slides and a miniature AT&T Park behind left field (a magnet for kids of all ages), AT&T Park wins the title of a classic urban ballpark with all the modern amenities (and a pretty good ball club too).

How best to get to AT&T Park from the Harbor Court Hotel? You can walk south from the hotel along the Embarcadero waterfront with other Giants fans. The Harbor Court Hotel is just 10 blocks from AT&T Park—and no hills along the way. Or you can take the Muni Metro N lightrail line along the Embarcadero. With stops just a block from the hotel and directly in front of the ballpark, this option is a home run. Or, if driving is a must, you'll find plenty of parking in the lots to the south of AT&T Park.
